ERR-OR 404! ER-ROR 404!

Uma das minhas maiores diversões na antiga internet da década de 90 (sim, comecei a passear por estas bandas nos idos de 1996) era encontrar as páginas de erro da Angelfire. Lá naquela época, quando não existiam blogs (ou se existiam, eles não eram tão difundidos) e as pessoas se comunicavam via IRC ou ICQ (qualquer hora eu escrevo sobre ICQ também) e os emails tinham um limite de 6Mb e eram só permitidos emails em texto (meldels, tô velho!), a maioria das pessoas que queriam (ou tinham um conhecimento suficiente de HTML) expor suas idéias na internet usavam algum serviço gratuito de hospedagem e criação de sites, como o Geocities (antes de virar Yahoo! Geocities) e o Angelfire (entre tantos outros que não me lembro mais). Ver um endereço no buscador do yahoo ou do altavista ou até mesmo do cadê que começasse com geocities.com ou angelfire.com significava um conteúdo feito pelos usuários e não pelas empresas (talvez o início da Web 2.0).

Mas o mais divertido era ver uma página na Angelfire e encontrar as páginas aleatórias de erro. Geralmente, os erros 404 (página não encontraga) são chatos e sem graça, mas a Angelfire revolucionou isso tornando essas páginas de erro divertidas, fazendo com que sua frustração por não encontrar sua página fosse menor. Isso, inclusive foi usado pelo Orkut, mas como eles só tem UMA mensagem de erro, ficou chato ver o “No donur for you, Orkut”.

Hoje, ao reencontrar uma página da Angelfire através do Twitter, voltei a fuçar nas mensagens de erro. E as velhas lembranças voltaram… Infelizmente, as mensagens antigas mudaram. Acho que eles sempre mudam. Então, só vou colocar aqui as mensagens atuais que eu conseguir pescar. E não vou me dar o trabalho de traduzir, me desculpem. Quem sabe eu traduzo isso depois?
